The goal of Circling is for a group of people to see the world through each other's eyes, and for you to see the world through other people’s eyes. We flourish under the influence of caring, curious, and non-judgmental attention – and so does the connection between us.

Your reflection is what you see in the mirror. To give someone a reflection is to tell them what you think they said – but like an old mirror, we often unintentionally shift, change, or distort their words. This is because our memories are imperfect, we may have expected them to say something different, or we might have leapt to a judgement without even realizing it. We don’t often reflect aloud, and so we reply based on what we think we heard, they reply on what they think we meant – and then we find ourselves in a confusing conversational funhouse.

At this all-levels circling session, we’re going to slow down and check in with what we think we heard and think the other person meant, with the goal of better understanding and intentionality.
